Arrive in Paris early in the morning and we got off the Eurostar train. I can say that traveling underwater through the Chunnel is nothing special; you can't see anything the whole time so I don't know what I was expecting. The train is fast though and we make a lot of stops on the way. We arrive at the Gard de Nord station and find which train we have to take to get to our hotel. Dr. Watson uses his French skills and we find where we have to go to.
We arrive at Hotel Blackston and JR and I are staying in room 516 which is very ironic since that is my address at home in Pittsburgh. We put our stuff in our room and get freshened up before we have to go on our bus tour. Everyone meets in the lobby for the bus tour.
The bus tour is with a nice older lady and it is real good. It was so long too and I caught people on my camera sleeping away.
After the long tour which took half the day, we get dropped off at the hotel and then we get ready to go eat dinner up the street. I got a Coke (which I saved the bottle) and I ate Lasagna.
After Dinner, Dr. Watson and a small group of us went to Montmartre to see Sacre Coeur. On the way up the hill, we saw this crazy loud dude who was definitely disturbing people, but everyone just ignored him. He almost got real close to Dr. Watson, but he dipped into a store to get a pastry before any confrontation. I thought it was real funny. I got to see the street artists drawing some people. Definitely something I will get the next time I go to Paris. We continued heading up the hill and we got to the church. Too bad my camera ran out of power, so I really couldn't take any pictures of Paris at night. It was the best view ever! Especially the Eiffel Tower lit up!
